The Best Night Life in Amsterdam

The StarTripper Journal presents the best night life Amsterdam, both Night Clubs, disco and other - the Club Guide.

Our team to Amsterdam are four young professional travelers who have tested a lot of hotels, restaurants and night-clubs world-wide.

Amsterdam is the greatest small city in the world. From canals to world-famous museums and historical sights, Amsterdam is one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe.

Amsterdam is a city of tolerance and diversity. It has all the advantages of a big city: good transport, rich culture and lively nightlife – and thanks to the extensive canals, it is quiet with little road traffic. The destination is never far away, so get a bike for an authentic local experience.

The restaurants in Amsterdam have a relaxed vibe. Most restaurants do not demand fancy clothing or high heels. However, there are a lot of fine-dining restaurants and clubs where people do dress up.

After the quiet early evening hours, Amsterdam's streets and squares again get very busy at night. Amsterdam has big clubs with bigger-name DJs on the line-up as well as hip underground places and more laid-back joints with an alternative vibe. Whether you're into techno, house, drum & bass, electro, soul, disco, top 40, rock, hip-hop, r&b or anything in between, you'll find a club to match your mood around Leidseplein. Her you will find the famed cultural and music centers Sugar Factory, Paradiso, Melkweg and Stadsschouwburg that offer varied artistic program for both young and old including big-name bands.

The StarTripper Journal presents the Amsterdam Club Guide:

Picture De Marktkantine is a proper nightclub and a popular choice among music lovers of all age and genres. Recently renovated, the building itself maintains its historical essence with an artistic flair. Upon entering you are met with artwork by a local painter; this is in effort to continue the legacy of De Marktkantine as a creative combination of music, art, food and events.

The big theatre room can fit roughly 1200 people – the dance floor is round and big – the smaller room offers 300 visitors a more intimate setting.

The Marktkantine Nightclub has more of a Deep-House and all-House music identity, but also hosts Techno, Dnb and more Funky sounds. Club nights run every Friday and Saturday from 11pm till 5am.

Check out their agenda for their special high-end artists selection for long nights.
