the heart of Oslo. The ceiling is decorated with Northern Europe's most impressive plasterwork
ceiling.Statholdergaarden is Chef Bent Stiansen's gourmet restaurant. In 1993, Stiansen became the world master of the culinary contest, Bocuse d`Or. He and his team have developed Statholdergaarden into one of Oslo's and Norway's best restaurants.
Each day Bent Stiansen and chef Torbjørn Forster create a six-course gourmet menu full of surprises. The menu varies according to the time of the year using Norwegian produce when it is at its best.

We really enjoyed the Chefs Menu with glazed breast of Duck with red onion compote and schezuan as main.
Dining at Feinschmecker is truly an unique experience, with exquisite world-class food, intimate setting and friendly knowledgeable serving staff.

Located a short drive from the city centre, in the quiet residential Skillebekk-area you will find
this little restaurant "hos Thea". An elegant, but warm and family-like place.With background from legendary restaurants Chef Sergio bought a 100 year old butcher’s shop and created a small restaurant. His philosophy was simple: "a gourmet experience without expensive factors".
The main elements are a dining room with open kitchen, Sergio himself behind the pots, a small but excellent menu he himself has created and "a lot of love for the food".
On his menu he presents dishes like vichyssoise with lobster and truffle and Swedish fallow deer tenderloin with cherry sauce and sautéed golden chanterelles. We especially loved the Pluma of Iberico pork with sweet and sour pepper sauce and oven baked pimientos.
As a special touch the owner also exhibits some of his own favourite artworks.

Centrally located in the City Centre in an old-town pedestrianised street, a delightfully traditional
brasserie, with various charming dining areas and a fantastic summer terrace.Classical cooking follows the seasons and mixes French and Scandinavian influences; the seasonal ingredients are top quality.
Try the wild turbot with cauliflower crudité, beets and horseradish, and the saddle of dear with cep, juniper berries and grilled heart. We loved both dishes.
Very serviceminded staff. Cuisine modern, excellent cooking.
